How to detect if someone hack wifi ?

Internet is one of the source common to all like sun, wind etc. the first step towards Internet started in 1957, when Soviet Union decided to send a satellite 'Sputnik' to space. as a result of this project Americans started a research project called ARPA(Advanced Research Project Association). by this they wanted to exchange information through computers. The invention of packet switching  service, used in data transfer, was the turning point of this research. they introduced a network called ArpaNet. first only four computers connected to it but now it is uncountable. later it was renamed as Internet.

Now we will see about wifi. it is technology used to connect electronic devices wirelessly. a personal computer or any device equipped with wifi can connect to the Internet via wireless network access point or hotspot. you will setup a LAN(Local Area Network) to connect your electronic devices with internet. your routers will have a DHCP(dynamic host client protocol) table. The DHCP table is a guest list with every allowed piece of equipment. Each device connected to it will have a MAC(Media Access Control) address. it was assigned by manufacture but can be changed by users. MAC and IP addresses are usefull for us to detect unauthorized access to network.

Is your network works slowly? there will be possibility of two problems one is hardware error for this you have to repair or need to buy new but is it possible for intermediate network loss? yes digital thieves or unauthorized access to your network due to their over use you could find a slow down in the internet speed. as wifi is a wireless technology you cannot found piggybacking physically. to found digital thieves You can use manual DHCP assignment. To do this, simply set your router's DHCP to the manual setting and enter in each of your computer's physical addresses. This will restrict your network to allow only those computers recognized by the router. if your computer experience is not enough to manual DHCP assignment you can use Internet monitoring software( for example nagios open source)  it watches and give you clear report about you wifi connection. Some routers have inbuilt application for monitoring. this software will show you the IP address of devices  connected to it by the count you can found weather stealing of internet is happening or not. other wise you can use your command prompt( start--> Accessories--> command prompt or windowskey + r ---> in Run type cmd and press enter/ok ) in the command prompt type ipconfig there you will find the information of devices connected to it with the count you can found the unauthorized access

If you found the stealing immediately switch off the router the switch on and change password immediately.
